REHEARSALS

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 72 hours before booking – £0

  • Between 72–24 hours – 50% of booking fee

  • Less than 24 hours / No-show – Full fee

Peak Period Bookings

During busy times, we may request advance payment to confirm bookings.


You can book up to 6 weeks in advance.


Evening / Downtime Bookings

We sometimes offer discounted evening/downtime bookings under a “community rate” (includes backline).


The Hive Rooms reserves the right to cancel or amend these bookings with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.



REHEARSAL FAQS


What time should I arrive?

No more than 15 minutes before your slot.


When do I need to vacate?

Please leave the studio within 10 minutes of your end time. 

Overruns may incur charges.


Can I extend my session?

We’ll try — depends on availability. Ask at the desk.


How far in advance should I book?

Evenings: Book 2+ weeks ahead.

Daytime/solo: Often available at short notice.


Minimum booking time?

  • After 7pm: 3-hour minimum for group bookings

  • All day: 1-hour minimum for individual practice (subject to availability)


Can I hire extra gear?

Absolutely. We offer amps, keyboards, IEMs, and more — just ask for a quote.


Can I leave equipment overnight?

Only if you’ve booked consecutive days. We don’t offer general storage.


Do you offer audio/tech support?

Yes — we’ll help get you set up. Want an engineer? Let us know in advance.


Can I hold auditions here?

Yes! The Hive is a friendly, pro environment — great for auditions.



EXTENDED BOOKINGS – TERMS & CANCELLATION


1–2 Day Bookings

  • More than 72 hours – £0

  • 72–24 hours – 50% of fee

  • Less than 24 hours / No-show – Full fee


3+ Day Bookings

  • 50% deposit required to confirm

  • Deposit is non-refundable if cancelled within:
    7 days (for 3-day bookings)
    10 days (for 3–7 day bookings)
    14 days (for 7+ day bookings)



STUDIO B LIVE ROOM / THE LIVE ROOM – EXTRA TERMS


Setup

Unless agreed otherwise, hire includes PA and mics in a “black box” setup. Engineers and backline hire available on request.


Cleaning

Studios must be left tidy.

  • 10+ person/event-style bookings: £50–£100 cleaning charge (agreed in advance)

  • Excess mess = higher fee at our discretion



HOUSE RULES

  • Don’t arrive more than 10 minutes early

  • Finish on time, please

  • Breakages = your responsibility

  • CCTV operates throughout the building

  • We may reassign your booking to a similar studio if needed

What’s nearby?

We’re 10 minutes from Horley Station — cafés, pubs, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance.


Can I order takeaway?

Absolutely — Deliveroo, Just Eat, and Uber Eats all deliver here.


Do you sell refreshments?

Free tea/coffee. Snacks, soft drinks and a licensed beer/cider selection available.


How do I get there?

We’re just off J9 of the M23.

Horley Station is 10 minutes on foot.

Gatwick Airport station = short taxi ride.


Is there parking?

Yes — 40+ off-road spaces plus a tour bus charging point.


Is The Hive accessible?

Yes. All doors and studios are wheelchair accessible.

Disabled toilets and hearing loop available.


How can I pay?

Cash, card, invoice or payment link — whatever suits you.


Can we split the bill?

Of course — we can divide payments across band members.


Do you have a shop?

Yes! Strings, sticks, picks, drumheads — and surprises.
